The RMHC of Las Vegas Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial assistance to eligible graduating high school seniors who face limited access to educational and career opportunities.  自1999年以来,超过4美元.5 million in scholarships have been awarded to students in Clark and Nye counties.

奖学金 are awarded by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas, with support from local McDonald’s owner/operators and other community partners.

A portion of every Happy Meal and Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper sold in participating McDonald’s restaurants helps fund the RMHC Las Vegas Scholarship Program.  Between the two fundraising sources, McDonald’s has donated more than $2.1 million to the Scholarship Program.

“This program 所有ows us the opportunity to say to these young adults, ‘we believe in you and your future,'” says Eva Martin, Past RMHC Las Vegas Board President and local McDonald’s owner/operator. “We know that a number of these students wouldn’t have the chance to go to college if it weren’t for the support they’re receiving from these scholarships.”

RMHC of Greater Las Vegas also partners with various community organizations to offer additional scholarship opportunities that are unique to our chapter. These partner scholarships can be found on the RMHC Las Vegas 高中 application and may require additional supporting documents and/or eligibility criteria. The following are our partners for the 2020/21 Program:

  • Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
  • Hispanic Educators Association of Nevada
  • 村里的基础
  • 詹姆斯 & 伊娃·马丁慈善信托
  • United Firefighters of Southern Nevada
  • 内华达隆起地基

All complete applications submitted by students in Clark and Nye counties in Nevada are person所有y reviewed and selected by members of the RMHC of Greater Las Vegas Scholarship committee. Decisions are based on academic achievement, 财务需要, 个人和职业目标, 和社区参与. RMHC of Greater Las Vegas does not select recipients based on ethnicity.
